It seems that Epo Obo is renown for both its medicinal and “anti-witchcraft” effects.

A colleague of mine and fellow Bastion member Loohan was given some of this powder to experiment with, and found that these materials can be mixed in with resin, cured and programmed in a unique and powerful way. “Well, regarding the tree called EPO OBO is in Yoruba Language so because I hear Yoruba Language, that made me to know about the tree.

In our own language, we call it INYI. And, till now I don’t know the exact name in English.

The first person that used the stick was AAKO ODE.

He was a great Native doctor by that time. He was very popular in all our Area.

That time, he introduced the stick to our people regarding its particular work.

He used the stick to ward off all witch craft in all our area and no witch craft died without open confession before every body in our area.

And that time, witch craft monitors every human being, destroyed every good person’s destiny. That is why it is fully used to ward off witchcraft by mixing the powder with native soap and lavender perfumes.

Using it for bathing, no witch craft will near the person that used it.

In old days, if some one is being accused theft of any thing, the elder person will just took kolanuts to the stick to pray like this:

The closest you’ll get to a real life magic wand. These have an innate directional quality as you hold them. I had no idea a piece of wood could feel similar to an Aether device, but this is as close as it gets. This wood is 100% dry and somewhat fragile, so do be careful with it.

The bark I obtained varies wildly in size, and I don’t want to break them up into smaller pieces as this will result in a lot of waste. Each piece is around 6″ to 8″ long.

I was most curious to test this item out, since not a single vendor in North America offers it. I am here to report that it is impressively powerful for its size. Holding this half-inch item between my fingers, I feel a number of vibrations at once. One that is long and slow, much like the bark. Another that is fast and consistent. And even more that I can’t quite detail. Like some massive, boisterous party of various personalities taking place in a tiny room.

It is almost as potent as an entire section of bark, yet it is less than 1/50 its size.

I’m going to give it a shot myself, though I don’t live in a climate zone warm enough for it to thrive so I will keep it as an indoor plant for as long as I’m able to. Then I hope to find a nice home for it where it will be happier as an adult.

The reason I include two as standard is so you can plant one and keep one. Or plant two in case one fails. These grow naturally in Nigerian soil, which is rich in nutrients and holds moisture well. I imagine most potting soils would work, but I will consult my friend John to see if a certain type is optimal.
