Aether is Now Worldwide — Introducing Komorebi Vibes
December 26, 2022EPO OBO: the World’s #1 “Anti-Evil” Plant?
May 25, 2024If you’re reading this, you have an interest in the invisible.
That’s what brought you here, right?
Energy. Psychic and spiritual ability. Extra dimensions. Magick.
The first thing that pops into a person’s head when thinking of this stuff?
A magic wand.
It’s a symbol as old as time.
So it’s time we got in on this.
I have something very special to share with you.
But before I do, let’s look at the state of wands in our world today.
Wands in Our World Today
There are four popular types of wands being sold today.
Wood. Metal. Crystal. Resin.
Some opt for style, or to emulate a design from a movie or TV show. These are typically the least effective wands, though the designs from Willowroot Wands aren’t too bad. Made from pewter, a metal, which can at least conduct energy to a degree. My favorite metals include iron, copper, brass and steel. If the metal is of quality, this can be a useful way to shape your energy.
Crystal wands can be interesting, since crystal can transform energy with nuance — much like Aether. Whether it’s quartz or selenite or any number of different types, it can be effective. They’re also easy to obtain in most parts of the world. The only downside is their fragility and weight.
You might see combination style wands as well, incorporating metals and crystals and more. I quite enjoyed browsing Merlin’s Realm Magic Wands, for they offer these hybrid wands at excellent prices. I honestly wonder how they make a profit!
Wooden wands are more complex to review. Most woods don’t have much of an innate “power” to them, so they are purely tools for one to focus their energy and will upon — and not much else. I will admit that this Etsy store, gildedquill, has an exotic range of woods from all over the world. You have a better chance of finding something interesting here.
Despite the impressive range the above store boasts, there was one type of wood absent from this list. In fact, you won’t find it in any shop in the United States, nor Europe, nor Asia.
It is by far the most powerful of woods when it comes to positive magic and intent.
The name of this wood is Epo Obo. And after a year of trying to source them, I finally obtained a box from West Africa.
While a handful of other online shops sell bits of bark, powder and large, misshapen chunks of branch — at exorbitant prices for the amount offered, might I add — there is absolutely NO ONE who can offer these long, slender, wand-sized specimens except for myself.
For the first time in this corner of the world, you can get your hands on an Epo Obo wand. Right here at Aetheric.
Epo Obo — the Ultimate Magic Wand?
Having worked with this wood before, I wrote an article that delves into its history and energetic qualities. But I’ll give you the skinny.
Epo Obo, or ficus platyphylla, is famous in East Africa and Brazil for its “anti-witchcraft” properties, as they term it. I don’t find this term very accurate, since witches can do positive magic if they choose. So it would be better to say it’s “anti-black magic” or “anti-evil.”
The locals in these regions swear by it, since black magic, voodoo and various malevolent energy techniques are widespread in these parts. A need to protect oneself arose, and fortunately nature was there to provide.
I first got a hold of this material two years ago and was amazed at its power. All you have to do is touch it and, much like Aether, you will feel a strong positive vibe to it. I used the powdered bark to make a powerful type of Aether, and it is the secret ingredient in the “Slippery” Spheres I sell in my shop. These Spheres reflect negative energy and intentions back to sender.
Now imagine if you were to use such a wood as a wand?
While you contemplate, I decided to film an unboxing video just like I did for the original article! Here’s my first impressions on the wands as I see them for the first time. I share what they feel like, their energetic qualities and what situations they can be useful for. Feel free to take a look, but you can skip ahead if you want.
So what’s the most notable aspect of the Epo Obo wand?
Even without the use of focus, ritual or technique, the wand is already doing magic! Any negative energies attached to you or present in the room will be gnawed away quite automatically, making this a powerful defensive tool simply by keeping it near you. Add in the divine tool that is human intention and you can push this power to do extraordinary things.
Banish dark spirits and demons. Dissolve hexes. Clear hauntings. Improve illnesses caused by black magic.
Just remember, you wield a wand with your intent. Put your mind, heart and soul into it. Your intention can reach any corner of this world we share.
Is This the Wand for You?
That depends on what you’re after.
Are you already well versed in magic, prayer, metaphysics or energy work?
You’re going to love this wand.
It can be used to accomplish whatever magical goal you would typically use a wand for. Epo Obo will add a strong layer of positivity to your spellwork, as well as clear you from negative influence, but beyond that it is as versatile as any wand. And being the only wooden wand in existence that gives you tangible energetic feedback, you might find it powering you, whereas most such wands are simply an object to place one’s focus on.
The only caveat is that if you wish to use it for black magic, or work alongside evil spirits or energies, your spell will likely fail.
Very powerful if you follow a positive or neutral path. Bad news if your aim is to hurt innocents or parasitize.
Are you not at all experienced with energy work? No more than a passing interest?
Even if you refrain from using this wand in such a way, it can do you a lot of good.
Those with consistent anxiety, trouble sleeping, chronic negative thinking or consistently ill health may have averse energies affecting them, which can come from a number of sources. Having this wand on you will soothe your body and mind, and make it harder for negative energies to “stick.” It is much like Aether in this way, for it does the same thing but in a different way.
Try sticking it under your pillow if you have trouble sleeping. You can also cut your wand into smaller pieces so it’s pocket-sized. These will still be very strong. I keep one of these in my bag at all times.
Given their rarity and the exorbitant price to get them shipped from Africa, I will be selling these wands at $40 to start. Thicker wands will fetch a higher price. While they lack the stylistic trimmings and lathe work that some other wands boast, an Epo Obo wand makes up for it where it counts — genuine magical power.
You might also consider the other Epo Obo products offered in this shop, such as Epo Obo powder, bark and seeds.
In fact I took two of those seeds and am growing them into trees! They will stay indoors since it gets too cold up here in Seattle for an African plant. The lighter leaves are new growth.

Be one of the first people in the Western world to possess an Epo Obo wand. Grab one now before they run out! Supply is limited and once they’re gone, I’m unsure when I’ll get them next.
I look forward to hearing about the virtuous works you’ll accomplish with it. Take care!
